lyrics

This is the year I’m gonna go far, watch me
I’m fully dedicated to make it and you can’t stop me
Every criticism is fuel to light the fire
The desire to lace beats with lines that inspire
The slight buzz of being a rapper wasn’t really in the plans
If I couldn’t rap, how many of you would even give me a second glance
I’m just guessing the numbers in my fan base would decline
If that were to happen I think I’d be perfectly fine
To be a hundred percent honest, I could care less about fame
In the grand scheme of things, I care more about CHANGE
But I’m not talking about DOLLARS, I hope I’m making SENSE
The thought of what the future holds makes me tense
All my previous years of life have led to me this moment
I’m hoping to take it then dominate it so that I own it
If you want to follow SUIT, you’re more than welcome to
Grip a CLUB and take a swing at it sorta like batters do
Next, grab a SPADE, do some digging you’ll be finding
That our black HEARTS can still be refined to shine like DIAMONDS
We tend to focus on the bad so the good isn’t noticed
No matter what situation you’re in, it isn’t hopeless
Know that I’m not talking down, I’m not high above you
My life has been good at times, but it’s also sucked too
We’re all human beings that go through ups and downs
Multiple victories and losses, smiles and frowns
Trying to push past the past quite often is whack
A suppressed memory could come back and hit with a blast
Then we’re left emotionally shot, drained
The silver lining being maybe wisdom was obtained
No matter how much I plead, I could never undo what I’ve done
In regards to what move I gotta make now, there’s only one
Push into the unknown and make life better
And no pressure, but we should definitely do this together

You know what I been on
You know where I be at
Men lie women lie
Numbers don't I see that
Catch me staying fly
Like I’m ten thousand feet up
My mind stay grounded
You know I mean that
You know what I been on
You know where I be at
Men lie women lie
Numbers don't I see that
People say they love me
But they just obsessed with the image
You know what I been on
You know where I be at

I’m try to remain humble in light of my evident skill
Any instrumental tossed my way, I lyrically kill
I could easily make a song to diss someone who crossed me
It’s harder to forgive them and mend whatever was faulty
I know the latter is the route of action I’m supposed to take
But I’m weighted down with burdens, it’s a hard journey to make
And on top of that I can be pretty selfish and stubborn
So much so that both myself and another tend to suffer
See, I’ve cut ties I never thought could be severed
Due to my inability to think before I speak, and I never
Want that to happen again, it’s true (I may be)
Scared of what I’ve done, I’m also scared of what I might do
No matter how much I plead, I could never undo what I’ve done
In regards to what move I gotta make now, there’s only one
Push into the unknown and make life better
And no pressure, but we should definitely do this together

You know what I been on
You know where I be at
Men lie women lie
Numbers don't I see that
Catch me staying fly
Like I’m ten thousand feet up
My mind stay grounded
You know I mean that
You know what I been on
You know where I be at
Men lie women lie
Numbers don't I see that
People say they love me
But they just obsessed with the image
You know what I been on
You know where I be at
